Default Warranty offer

Ford is offering me either an extended 2 year 24k bumper to bumper (premium care) or an extra 2 year 40k power train for my troubles. Can't decide, I don't have a lot of bells and whistles so not sure if I should just go power train? Guess I'm leaning towards the 100k power train but not totally sure. What would you do?

Sort of a simple answer. Are you worried about your power train having issues in 100K mile and not so worried about all the bells and whistles. My self I can replace a radio or head light even LED myself, but a tranny or engine is a little harder to pay for my self.

I myself would take the 100K and smile about it.

Yeah, kinda what I was thinking. Suspension stuff makes me nervous but if I had a pano roof or something like that, it might be diff

Suspension stuff is cheap and easy to do, at least to me. The chances of it going bad in 40K is slim to none on these trucks. On a Jeep Wrangler it is about 60% chance it will happen. I would not think twice about it and take the 100K.

I took the 7yr/100k option as well. I plan on keeping my trucks at least 7-8 years, hopefully longer, so I took the longest warranty possible.

I think value-wise, the 7/100k powertrain warranty is more expensive to purchase than the 2 year extended premium care (it’s not bumper to bumper... read the fine print!)

Nice! Definitely less to be concerned about with a longer coverage on the parts of the truck that concern me most.

Maybe counter offer Ford and ask for more time/miles or a "Large" discount on a longer plan for your money. What's the worse that will happen, they say no?
