Waiting on the 2017

I am not interested in adding a tuner, or putting it in tow haul mode, or pressing a temporary disable button every time I get in the vehicle to solve this. I would be grateful about stronger starter system that doesn't wear out quickly.
This sort of autopilot stuff where I have no choice always drives me nuts. Electronics always gets outdated, and often fails, so less is more in my book. Look at all the problems (threads) people are having with some of these latest electronic options. YMMV

My friend/former coworker in Visteon said that during this last shutdown/retooling they went to DRBN. 2017s are getting start stop on the 3.5L and cylinder deactivation on the 5.0, kinda like the Ram MDS.
He didnt mention anything about the 10-sp auto for 2017. Most of the "upgrades" are small issues that are being ironed out from the 2015/2016 MY run.

I am!!! Looks like a bunch of trolls pissed they already bought. Yup the 17 is bringing in the compacted iron graphite block and same timing chain set up as the 2.7. As well as port and direct injection Basically all the praise the 2.7 gets over the 3.5 will be coming to the 3.5 in less than a year. Personally I'd rather have the 6spd trans. It's well geared and always in the right gear. I'm happy with that. I'm extremely excited. Can't wait to get mine. If any of this is doubted do your own Google search. You'll find it.

As well as port and direct injection. Source?
10 speed transmission may or may not be coming in 2017.
I have a 2015 and I'm not pissed that I bought, I love my truck.

I believe him, since I worked with him and worked in the auto industry for 10 years.

I disagree. There are engineering changes happening all the time. Thats part of the reason why we had two shutdown/retooling periods in the year. Things change and we're two years away from that.

There are many sites that have this same info but I am taking a little license stating its coming to the 150 for 2017. Likely at some point.

I first found it on a gm site that is escaping me. Searching on my phone is not the easiest.
However, if you find that one it's a full tear Down of the new 3.5 I'm not sure why a gm site is the only one posting it. I'm sure it was a ford event. But yup. I'm pumped.
