VTA Mod
So, I went on Stage3 and got the VTA mod for my 2.7. Mostly out of boredom and curiosity, and to make my kids laugh.
i guess it's awesome that we don't need CAI/Exhaust anymore and we can save our money because Ford engineers made the OE parts great. But sometimes it makes for boredom!
Anyhow, I did the MOD, i guess my overall review is it's pretty stupid.
Takes 5 minutes to install. The BOV sounds is ok, and i find myself hitting the gas then letting off really quick just to hear it sometimes lol.
Does nothing to gas mileage, check engine lights anything, it's just there.
My kids just say it sounds like my truck is "tooting"
Anyone else have it? I think it's going away today, I'll put it in the garage until i get bored.
$40 worth the entertainment though!

I plan to do it to mine, just cause I added and exhaust to my 2.7 SCAB, and I like the sound. There are some funny vids of people on Youtube putting duck calls on their BOV- worth a laugh, but I wouldn't do it lol
I am not buying the aluminum plug, I plan to plug the inlet on the intake pipe, and either leave the top of the BOV tube open and put a filter in it, ot put a filter right on the BOV at the intercooler just to keep dirt from getting in.
