Default VTA article and ?'s

So, I have read a ton about doing the VTA mod, and then I came across this article:
http://www.revvedmag.com/engine-tech...-need-to-know/

And that raised the question. Since we have a MAF, is doing this mod actually robbing us of power by venting air that has been calculated in the system, thus leading to less air than actually calculated going into the system?

Ive only had normally aspirated engines, so never had this issue. What can you guys tell me before I go and get the caps later today.

And I am running a 2017 Screw 3.5L ecoboost Lariat

I don't believe ecoboost engines have MAF's and only have MAP's.

^^ this, they are speed density. VTA is fine. I think almost everything ford is doing now is back to speed density? They finally realized that trying to control the air to an exact measurement wasn't the key to power and mpg.

Thanks guys! Going shopping later! Now is the 1 1/8" size going to work or should I go slightly bigger or smaller?
