Default VIN Error???

My 2015 F150 was not a custom build. The wife and I went into the dealership looking for a truck and it had to have a few certain options that we required. The truck they had in stock that met our criteria also had a few additional options on it. The price was right so we bought it. Some of those additional options were the upgraded tow package, trailer brake and the extended range tank.

The way things were listed on the window sticker made it difficult to determine if the truck had the upgraded tow package or the max tow package....basically it has all the max tow stuff, but it has some of the items broken down individually. So they look like individual adds.

Anyways, wanting to get to the bottom of this I saw on there there is a Ford EITS website that allows you to punch in your VIN and see every option you have and do not have on your truck. So I threw that in and it says that I have the max tow package.

BUT.........I noticed that it also says "Less Elect Locking Differential". My truck has the electronic locking rear differential. It has the 4WD **** that pulls out. When you pull out it out the info display shows the locked sign just as the owner's manual describes. The window sticker also shows the Electronic locking differential.

I even went as far as to double check the VIN on the window sticker to make sure it matches the VIN on the Yellow door sticker of my truck. They do match. So being that I know I have the correct VIN, the sale info lists the Elec. locking rear diff. and my truck actually has it should I just assume whoever typed up that list in regards to my VIN just made a mistake? Are there potentially serious issues with this? Am I an idiot and Im missing something? Is this for a front differential?

I don't think "less" means that your truck doesn't have it. It means it's included because of another package, or means the cost is being backed off because the item is in another package. I forget.</br> I ran into this a year ago looking at some documents, after a while I figured it out. I wouldn't give it another thought, and move on to the part where you enjoy your truck.

That's right you don't have the standalone ELD,, you have one that came in a package.. Mine is listed the same way.

Well, there were quite a few "less" on there. Many of them are generic package options so I cant really say what they refer to.

Part of the package makes sense. It shows the same for most vins put in.

I was really confused cause "less sunroof" indeed means no sunroof.

It certainly isn't an error, just the way ford breaks it down in etis.
