Default Video input to the dash screen?

Been thinking about a dash cam and actually maybe 2 one front one rear. This product (
Amazon Amazon
) is just a video output cable but it has me wondering if there is a way to patch this into the truck. Only asking because my buddy has a Lariat trim level truck and it has a button on the dash for a camera view. Can’t recall why or when it could be used but I could see a rear facing camera video feed being useful in heavy traffic. Fun anyway...

Is it possible to do this? Long shot lol.

The camera button on your buddies dash is to activate his different cameras at low speed (forward, rear and surround view). As for your other question I can't help ya there.
