Default Vibration after coming to a stop

Searched, but didn't find anything exactly like this.

2018 F150 Lariat, 3.5 with 10 speed. After turning off auto start/stop I noticed something. When I come to a stop, I often get a noticeable vibration for a moment and then it's gone. It happens as follows:

Come to a complete stop with foot still on brake. After about 1 sec or less being stopped, a vibration is felt just for a moment then it goes away.

Truck is in drive and shows 1st gear at a stop during this. Rpms do not seem to change at all. This has happened multiple times and I thought I was crazy at first. Only noticed it after having auto start/stop turned off. Typically there is a vibration from the engine stopping and starting, but this is something else.

Anyone had this happen?

Could be the vacuum issue is allowing your hubs to engage. My brother had this problem on his '16. They (Ford & dealership) never could fix it and eventually just gave him a new truck.

With all the issues I'm having on this new truck in the first 3,000 miles, I might be asking for a buyback soon as well. Not happy.

I've noticed something similar on my 2017, to me it almost seems like the auto start/stop is trying to shut down the engine but is interrupted

That's exactly what I first thought, too!

My truck also does this. I always explain it as a feeling of getting slightly rear ended. When mine does it, I also am showing in 1st gear and I do not see any change in RPM's. It is quite annoying.

Mine does it too. Like a slight clunk feeling after stopping but the auto start stop is off. There are so many weird things with this truck. One thing about a Ford is... you are always in good company whrm there is an issue... everyone seems to have it

There was another thread about it being fuel slosh in the tank. There are baffles in the tank but only on the bottom half. So when the tank is around 3/4 full, the fuel is allowed to slosh around quite a bit.

Same sensation here. 2018 3.5 10spd auto start stop disabled, sometimes when I feel it I look down at the tach, because if feels like the engine stalled or stopped with stop start but only to find it still running.

Funny you mention that since I'm around 3/4 tank right now. The vibration is sometimes worse than others and does sometimes feel like another car may have nudged the rear bumper. Today it was worse on the way to work, and felt it less on the way home. Sometimes it seems repeatable, but also random.
