Default Vibrating Box Link Cleats

I've been trying to track down the source of a vibration in my vehicle. Today, I removed the bed's box link cleats from their brackets and viola! ... noise gone! Even when locked in place, I could move them by hand. I think they were rattling around a bit.

Now I can enjoy my normal drivetrain noise more fully!

Ive never noticed any rattling from mine. But, I drive with my stereo up, and I have a tonneau cover, as well...

If mine were rattling, I don't think I'd hesitate to find some nice rubber to fold up and stick in there behind it, to kind of push the box link OUT from behind to hold it secure.

They're so easy to remove & replace that I just pulled them and tossed them in the storage bin under my back seat along with my tie down straps. When the cleats are in use, there's usually tension on them so no rattle.

I see that - I just feel like having them in place is the most efficient place to store them, personally.
