Looks like you've taken off the front air dam and have a bad-*** looking skid plate there...? What brand is that? I like it...a lot. Great looking truck.
Thank you. I have a specific taste for stockish but capable trucks and am very happy with how it looks and performs.
The skid plate is a factory Raptor take-off. I’ve removed the lower air dam and trimmed the plastic valence around the skid plate. Here is the thread that inspired it: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/rapto...50-xlt-421081/
I did do it slightly different than the above thread, mainly I bolted the rear of the skid in place and built the front mounts instead of drilling the rear to use OEM Raptor front brackets.

Velocity Blue is the best! When I made the "next truck" decision, I was torn between either VB or Rapid Red. The dealer had both in Sport 302A packages, but the RR was a FX4 truck. I really didn't want that as to not decrease any available payload. Not to mention the fact that my truck would almost never see any off highway travels. Im so glad I ended up with the VB truck....such a great color. Around here, too, you don't see many either. I've even googled production numbers in attempt to see how many are made. Not that VB is a rare or "special" color...but you sure don't see them at every corner.
I believe, but not 100% sure that is Lightning Blue. Blue flame ran until 2014 maybe? Then Lightning blue til 18 or 19 then Velocity blue. I could be wrong on the years. They're too close for me to tell the difference in photos. I could tell the difference between my Blue Flame 2014 and the Velocity Blue 2020 in person.

How much does a couple of skid plates decrease payload? 20-40lbs? Not critical genuinely curious. There's nothing else that's a part of that pkg that would take a hit to payload.
Not really sure. But, sure enough that I didn’t need it. Not for the price, for sure. I’ve seen others post similar trucks with payloads varying by 100-200 lbs. I came from a 2019 STX with a decent payload....1989 IIRC. Going up to an XLT I wanted to keep as much as I could, which meant not getting that package....which I’d never use anyways.
