Using two usb sticks at the same time?
Yeah, you got a point. If all my music doesn't fit on the 128 gb I've got, guess I'll have to fork over some cash. I want all my cds on one stick drive.
I tried what you are trying to do today and Sync would only let me use the top one, completely ignoring the bottom one. Why have 2 USB ports if they both do not work together? Unless, the top one is to play files from storage like a USB stick and the other is to play media from a player, like a phone or mp3 player. I'll mess with it more tomorrow, but unless somewhere has actually tried it and had it work, I'd be interested to see how you got it to work.
Just get a portable hard drive and plug it in. They're a lot cheaper. 1 Tb for $60.

I have been putzing around with my USB thumbdrives for quite some time now. I believe that the manual states it can index a total of 15,000 songs. I tried splitting my files accross two 64 gig scan disks (picture from Amazon in a previous thread). Sync didn't like that. I also tried "removable" hard drives, not sure Sync will play nice with those either. I was unable to use my NAV system while Sync was attempting to index the thumb drives. I have gone back and placed about 12,000 files on one 256gig thumb drive. Sync only indexes when the truck is on and I am playing the USB device. I need another long trip so the device can be totally indexed ( I miss the hard drive of my 2011). My thoughts on using the two 64 gig scan disks was that I had them in alphabetical order. So, when I needed to add new material, I just pulled out the specific drive with in the alpa range. I agree, I don't think Sync will play well with two USB devices. It's not a very powerful computer.
I don't have my truck yet (*sigh*) so I haven't had a chance to geek through it yet, but if you can work a USB cable from the glove box to the USB port, you might be able to run a portable drive from the glove-box. I have a 512gb seagate pocket drive that I keep in my mustang, connected to my aftermarket head unit's USB input. Works great, and a portable drive is a lot cheaper per-GB. I'm not sure what the specs are on the USB points in the 2015 vehicles, but I'm assuming they follow standard USB spec at least so it's worth trying.
I have successfully used 2 thumb drives at the same time, using the main stereo menu to change between them, just like changing between FM and Satalite. You may have an issue if you don't name one differently from the other. I only named my 128 thumb drive.
I just bought a WD hard drive thinking I could load it with my 200+ Gigs of music and play them through the USB. Sync didn't like it. I've been reading about how you need to format it from NTSC to Fat. I tried that and nothing. I've also been reading that people need to partition their hard drives. I don't know how to do that but it will be my next attempt. Maybe sync only recognizes USB devices up to a certain limit of storage? Also from what y'all have been saying, that it only goes alphabetically? So I can't make subfolders of music? If that's the case then I may as well quit right now and use the Hard drive for something else.
