USB sync 3 update trouble

Default USB sync 3 update trouble

After downloading sync 3 update to had, unzipping file, then transferring to USB device, install screen shows not enough space. USB is 64 gig, no other files on it. Running version 1 and updating to version 3... please help!

Do you have another stick to try? I used one that was smaller than required and it worked.

Is your drive formatted in the exfat format as per the instructions? I just updated mine using a 32gb usb stick.

Ok just some advice, it takes a while to update in the truck. Don't pull the stick out until it tells you to.

The instructions on the ford owner site should provide directions to formatting your flash drive.
IE: Right click on your flashdrive, select format and then pick exFat in the filesystem dropdown (below capacity)
Then drag and drop the files you have extracted from the zip archive to the flash drive.

It doesn't have to be EXFAT, I've done two different updates with FAT format

exfat is recommended by Ford, and an easy thing to try for someone who is having troubles.
