Upgrading Speakers - Help
I have a good line on some speakers, but not sure which to get. I want truck door panels to look stock.
Info: 2017 Raptor 802a
Amp is JL HD900/5
Sub is JL 10tw3-d4
Option 1
JL C5-650 (front) and C5-650x (rear) - install seems straight forward with metra mounts.
Option 2
JL C5-653 (fronts) and C5-650x (rear)
If I go with the C5-653 How would I go about
mounting the 6.5 woofer and 4" midbass in the front doors?
Any better options paired with my Amp and sub for great sound? I don't have to go with JL, just hear they make good stuff. Like to keep it under 1k

With the 100 watts that amp puts out to the door speakers you'll need some quality speakers. One of our members has mounted the 4" mid and tweeter in the A pillars. Lots of work, but man does it look sweet. Way over my head so I went with just door speakers. The C2-650's would work also if your looking JL Audio. I also like the Polk DB series, or the Infinity Kappa's like I went with. Your budget is big enough for some good speakers if your doing the work. Really it's up to your ears, travel to some shops and give them a listen.
Thanks for the info!
I have spoke with Crutchfield about the speakers and still plan to go with the JL C5-650 Evolution for the fronts. They told me the C5-650x won't work without modifying something in the rear and I wonder if there is space for the crossovers anyway. Anyway, they gave me a few options.
So if I can't use those I need to decide on the rear speakers and could use some input.
JL Audio C3-600 again this has crossover - not sure where to mount in rear door or if it will
JL Audio C2-525x
Since it is the rear stage should I just go with the cheaper c2-525's? Will it's smaller frequency range make much difference? Like to stick with JL but open to any other suggestions.

If so, di dyou have to modify anything? I wonder if I could get the JL C5-650X or JL Audio C2-650X would actually work...
