Default Upgrading 100a to 101a

Good evening,

I am looking at getting a 100a truck because I do not want to deal with the power window problems I have had on my '13. So far I have had my regulator repaired twice and I am only at 24k miles.

Only problem is that I would like power locks, sync basic, and the nicer cluster. I have read that changing out the cluster is not a big deal and I read through the RC threads where people were told to put in sync basic to get a USB.

How difficult is it to get the sync basic installed, simple as finding a unit on ebay, finding a vin, and finding a dealership or someone who can program it? Or is it plug and play?

If you do not get the 100a, I assume it does not come with any wiring in the doors? Would I need to run all the wires if I wanted to get power locks? I figure it would just be getting the lock/unlock buttons to install then wiring it back into the truck somehow and installing some actuators. Unsure how the wireless part of this works. Any thoughts?

I will probably get the 100a anyways, but wanted to check into the possibility of upgrading it. Other than the power locks/windows/sync basic what else will I miss out on?

If it helps, I've not yet heard of a SINGLE instance of any power window failures of any sort on a 2015+ model yet.

I think this is the ONLY power window problem I have read about in 2 years on the forum. You're overreacting.

You could always go from power to manual windows. I'm sure you can buy the regulators and swap them in.
