Default Upgrade Ventilated Seats?

2016 Lariat... Ventilated seats seem to work normally, however there just doesn't seem to be much air passing through the system. You can feel it, but for example it wouldn't move a credit card receipt if you laid it on the seat.

Has anyone gone in and messed with this system to give it a little more oomph?

When your cab is cool from the A/C, does your back still sweat? For me it doesn't take much air movement for a ventilated seat to make a huge difference. To me, 'you can feel it' is good, and if I want to feel blowing air I point the dash vents for that.

I'll follow the thread and be interested in the responses, but, I don't recall anybody posting about wanting or doing what you are asking. Sometimes people ask about actual air conditioned seats pumping out cold air instead of pulling cabin are in (and then out below the seat) but that's all they do, pull cabin air in.

Lean forward from the seat for a couple seconds after awhile of sitting to let some air get behind your back and see how that feels.

See the sticky at the top of the 2015-2020 Forum titled" Cooling Seats Issue and TSB Feedback"

User: SeatGuru is the expert in this area. I believe at one point he worked with Ford's engineering design team, but they did not change the design substantially. His website shows version 4, but I believe he is shipping version 5 now.

Did Ford resolve/redesign this or is this still a problem on the '18 + trucks?

I may be mistaken, but I think the 18 and on are ventilated rather than cooled by the TED (thermo electric device). Feel free to correct me.

Correct. Ventilated, not cooled. Pull cabin air through.

I've wondered why my '19 doesn't work nearly as well as my '11 did. Now I know, and am disappointed.
