Upgrade from '12 XLT to '15 XL?
So I currently have a 2012 XLT. Love it, no complaints at all. BUT I do like to upgrade when possible. I have the possibility of moving into a 2015 XL SuperCrew (I have a SuperCab now). Now, I do see some of the differences in going from a XLT to an XL, but part of me still wants to do the upgrade because it's a new truck. I mainly want the SuperCrew upgrade. This is a XL with a 101A package on it, which seems to bring the features closer to a base XLT. How is the vinyl flooring? Does it look cheap?
It looks as though my payments would be about the same if I did the upgrade. I have 58,000 miles on my '12 and I do drive alot on the highway for work.
What do you guys think? Worth it to upgrade, or just keep the 2012 longer?

I have the XL Sport Screw. It has power windows, locks & mirrors. Back up cam, cruise, satellite radio and everything else I want. I like the rubber floor, it doesn't look cheap to me. I agree that it is pretty much a base XLT. I didn't feel like I was downgraded because it was an XL, imho.
As for transmission issues, from what I have read it has been only on the 4x4 trucks.
So don't beware, get a new truck!

The 12 fx4 had heated and cooled seats power mirrors and auto climate control. So I would say a 15 xlt is a step down. Not like going from xlt to xlt. But I also think the 15s have more standards than 12s.

I have an XL Sport SCAB 4x4 with the 2.7 EB and have had ZERO issues with it. The vinyl floors were part of the reason I bought my truck since if I get in it with muddy boots it's going to be soooo much easier to clean. Also I haven't heard many people complaining or having issues with the 15 trannies, but I could easily be missing those threads too. But yea I couldn't be happier with my 15 XL. Good luck!

IF I could order every vehicle from now til the day I die with vinyl or rubber flooring I would.
Why ??? Easy......because carpet is a waste of $$$ and that just paves the way to sell you ridiculous priced floor mats and Weathertech mats. So essentially you eliminate the carpet and roll with the vinyl floors like Law Enforcement uses and you've got a far easier vehicle to maintain IMHO.
