? @ Updating using USB stick
IGNORE TO POST# 6
Figured I really didn't need a new thread on this, but changed focus.
After completing the update on my truck, I reported the update to Ford.
Is there any reason to save this info or should I just reformat the USB flash drive to use again?
The reason I ask is that I have found that my dad's '15 XLT shows that it is due for an update(my dad has never done one since buying in Sept. '15). He'll be 80 this year, so cut him some slack.
I didn't know if it would hurt having the update file for my truck still on the USB when I download the update for his truck onto it.
I am much better at driving tractors than computers.
Y'all have been so helpful. Thanks!!

I have had my dad's update going for about an hour, and it seems to be stuck on update 4.
Is there a point that I need to just stop the update and pull the USB stick?

Well, I ran out of time yesterday and just turned off dads truck and pulled the USB stick.
Dad started his truck up today and inserted the USB, and voila, the update just continued from where it left off.
After a couple hours of run time driving, it finally moved on with the update and came up with a "Update Complete" message.
Everything seems fine, but now I can not Sync the iPhone to the truck. Hmm, aggravating!
Then, when I went to report the update, it would not send the report. So, I looked in the individual folder on the USB stick and it appears that a number of the updates did not load(or at least that is what I am guessing) since some of the individual file icons were still highlighted yellow.
I seem to be suffering from horrible tech luck lately. What am I doing wrong?
