I usually do the USB method and it's pretty quick. I just upgraded to 3.4 and it was fast and way nicer.

So, I got an email from Ford a couple weeks back, told me I could update my Sync3. I thought it had over wifi, as I checked prior to doing the Navi update. Sure enough, my sync3 is 3.4, 22200. I mean, Ford tracks everything else about my truck fairly well, wonder why their system can't know this? Of course the premise of the email was I could take to a Dealer for the update...

Their system for tracking Sync updates knows which version you have. They don't have an automated means for comparing that with their email mailing list, and setting one up wouldn't be worth the cost.

Smartened up. Parked under my office at work and entered my office Wi-Fi into the truck. So half hour download packets. I went out after an hour and started the truck and had it reconnect so it would continue downloading, then shut it off. Checked the download status after getting home and reconnecting and now it says (again) up to date BUT it showed today’s date under that status.
I have crap internet at home and usually take my iPad to work to update apps and such.
