The way I look at it is by drilling holes and allowing access to the inside of the body panels the Krown can coat all the rivets used to connect these body panels together. Where they connect these panels they often use foam as well to stop squeeks and noises and this foam captures and contains water. I figure it can't hurt. It would also help lube cables/moving parts etc inside the doors that are used for windows and locks.
