Default Underbody video

This is a 2018 with approx 50k miles that I am considering. The selling dealer sent me a video of the underbody. Being new to trucks, how does this look to you?

EDIT: Try this link instead:

Looks normal for a truck that has not been undercoated or sprayed....

Hum, is that rust or mud/dirt on the frame? The diff cover is more rusty that I would expect but not the end of the world.

That aftermarket exhaust is aluminized steel and is already starting to rust. It will get worse with time and eventually need to be replaced far quicker than the stock exhaust or a good T304 stainless setup.

This is a 5.0 - is that an aftermarket exhaust?

Yup - There are only 2 F-150 trims that get dual exhaust and they are a completely different setup (Raptor and Limited)

That's 100% not stock and a cheaper, non-stainless system due to the amount of rust on it.

I just took a look at my '18 with 12k and 1 salty winter on it and looks like new by comparison to that - No rust on the diff at all. Wonder if that truck was used to launch boats in salt water frequently...

If that's rust on the frame, it's a bit more than I would expect. My 2015 spent it's first three years in Canada and only has very light rust on some of the welds. That said, as long as it's not throwing big flakes, I'd clean up and paint the areas around the wheel wells, and top with some quality undercoating so I never have to see it again, and fluid film the rest of the frame.

I would stay clear. Looks like it was sitting in the ocean.
