Is there a setting to toggle so that the mirror side lights turn on when you lock or unlock the truck at night? Otherwise it seems like kind of a useless feature.

 

Not sure what trim package you have. With Autolamps the mirror spot lamps illuminate automatically when the light switch in in AUTO. If you manually turn the spot lamps on, they shut off at 10 km/h [6 mph].

I have a 2019 XLT 302A. So there is no way to change the side mirror lights (not the puddle lights) to come on with you lock/unlock?

 

no problem...but I'd like to see a merc....helped father in-law with this 52 ford

maybe in the wiring ...have to get a wiring diagram and see if you could re pin the the plug....

 

For about 20 years I had a 52 Mercury M1 with a flathead V8 and floor shift 3-speed. I had too many vehicles at the time and was storing it outside. One of the guys at work made me an offer I couldn't refuse. The only difference between the Ford and the Merc was the engine (the Merc had the long stroke), the front badges (Mercury vs Ford, M1 vs F1), the tailgate had MERCURY in block letters instead of the script Ford, and the front grille was all chrome.

I always get the Spot lamps confused with the Puddle lamps. I never use the Spots.
