Default Tuning

I’m looking at getting a tune on my 2019 5.0 f15@ I am wondering if you’re able to tune sport mode separately from the other drive modes and I’m unable to find the answer anywhere.

What do you mean by "separately"? Do you mean you only want to make adjustments to how Sport Mode performs and touch nothing else?

yes, I would like to have a separate tune on sport mode that doesn’t change the other drive modes

I am admittedly not an expert here but I did recently order new tunes for my truck. The particular shop I used had options for engine and transmission tuning and specifically wrote about changes (in a general manner) to the various driving modes they made to enhance the experience and take advantage of their changes to engine tune. So I believe what you are requesting is technically possible. I think your best bet is to reach out to your tuner(s) of choice and see who is willing and able to accommodate your request.

Yeah. That’s a tuner question.

Yes, it can be tuned separately to some extent. You can change throttle response, shift pressures/patterns, and other drivability adjustments. However, on this generation, you can not change the actual fuel/air and timing curvature to get a true “performance tune” only in sport mode. You’re only option would be if you get PCM tech tuning software since that one you can change between tubes instantly versus having to refresh the entire ECU if you get something like HP tuners.
