Default Tuner and recalibrating speedometer

Brought my truck in for the AC seat TSB fix this morning, and also asked dealership how much to recalibrate speedometer to larger tires. They wanted $125, so I told them to forget about it...seems absurd, no?

Also, I'm planning to get a tuner at some point anyways...can't I recalibrate the speedometer myself once I get the tuner?

Depends on the tuner but yes most should do it.

I can tell you for sure that SCT can do it, and when you order your tune file your tuner should be able to write that right into the program.
