Default Tuner or re-gear

Been awhile since I have been on here so here goes. I have a 2017 F-150 2.7l crewcab 4x4 6 speed auto. Truck is stock other than a high flow air filter. I tow a 26' camper that weighs around 6500#. Truck handles it pretty well but could use some help. I was thinking about getting a tuner or re-gearing to 3:73. What have you all done and what was your results?

If you re-gear, you'll have to do front and back axles. With that cost in mind, you'll get more bang for your buck purchasing a tuner. I think I would buy a tuner, try that out and if you still feel like you need the gears... Get it done at that time.

On the other side though, and tuners are pretty reliable... You will get more reliability out of the re-gear VS doing a tuner. Especially when you consider possible warranty issues from installing a tuner.

Try the tuner first. If you like it, your money ahead, as you would need a tuner to adjust the speedometer after the regear anyway.

I'm pretty sure you can adjust that with Forscan.

Look around scrap yards--i just went from 3.55's to 3.73's. total cost after selling my rear is under $300 canadian and I still have the old front diff, new axles have under half my mileage on them and are 2 years newer.
