Default A/Ts on 2.7

Anyone just replace their tires with the same size, but in BFG AT TAKO on a 2.7 Eco? If so, how much did your mpg drop?

Because of the increase in unsprung weight, expect a 10-15% drop in fuel economy.

Whoa. 10-15%. Nope!

Same sized tires from an all-weather to all-terrain. They will probably be heavier, and it is unsprung. But nowhere near different enough to cause 15% change.

My 2 cents from experience with other trucks.

.5 to 1 l/100km drop is my guess. I'm getting great mileage with 33's .

They are not PROBABLY heavier, they are a LOT heavier. He is going from a tire that is under 40lbs to a tire that is 56 lbs. There will be a significant fuel economy penalty. Believe what you will.
