Default Truck issues

2016 xlt with 3.5 na all these lights came on yesterday had to pull off of highway as i lost power. Shut engine off for few min restarted and all lights shut off but the check engine light stayed on. Called dealer they said it was ok to drive?Drove straight to dealer and they gave it a quick look and said it will be fine till they have someone to look at it on tues morn? Any idea what happ is this a common issue? Thanks

I would suspect this is another throttle body issue. There is a TSB on this issue as well as a recall for some vehicles. If you will PM me with your VIN# I can see if your vehicle qualifies for the recall.

Make sure they replace it. That is the cause of the problem 99.99999999% of the time.

I always figure out a way to mark the part to be replaced, if I can get to it. Maybe a red sharpie and put a stripe on it.

Same thing happened again this morning,dealer came and picked truck up from my driveway.

I had the exact same problem on my 2005, the code indicated it could be one of 3 parts dealing with the throttle body. I kept clearing the code waiting for a total part failure. The last time it threw a code, out of curiosity I took some carb cleaner and cleaned out the throttle body with a tooth brush and didn't have another problem the last 3 years I owned the truck. Kinda hard to believe they are still having this problem after all these years.

A lot of the issues are due to the quality of the gasoline. Ethanol doesn't help and a lot of gas out there doesn't have the detergents they use to have, with the refiners going to a less polluting and less expensive substitute.
