Truck bed VS Trailer for ATV
I have now my new F-150 with the Backflip MX4 / Spray in liner.....and I have a nice tilt trailer that I was using to pull my Yamaha Grizzly 700 around with my other SUV. Now I cannot make up my mind if I should purchase the ford ramps / L.A gaurd dog setup and load it up in the back of the truck, or just continue using my trailer! It would be a tight fit with the cover folded up, but it will fit! what to do.........

If you have a good place to store your trailer then just use it. I have the Ford bed ramps and while they make loading safe and easy they rattle around back there the 99.999% of the other time I'm driving around. Actually I take that back, I just leave the ramps in the garage so I don't have to listen to them rattle around. .

With the ATV in the bed you have 2 less tires to worry about going flat and MPG's should be better not pulling around a trailer, especially if it is a trailer with a tall gate.

As others have already noted, you've already got the trailer, so there are plenty of reasons to use it.
There are also a few not to, many of which become bigger issues with more mileage:
There are also a few not to, many of which become bigger issues with more mileage:
- the trailer tires, if normal ST tires, are rated to only 65 MPH; if traveling a lot of interstate with higher speed limits, that gets old, quick (and running above the rated speed continuously, for an extended period of time, may overheat the tires and cause failure)
- some states (California, NJ, maybe others) restrict trailers to a lower speed than passenger vehicles and/or limit lane usage on interstates
- If you're going off into the woods, turning around a full-size truck can be enough of a PITA; turning around a trailer gets even more interesting, especially if exploring new forest roads that may or may not have room to turn around
- miles on the trailer mean more wear on the tires, bearings, and brakes, which will need service

Why would you not use the truck bed? Using the truck bed you have one less set of wheels to worry about, don’t have to pay registration, better gas mileage and can sell the trailer
