Tried to install an HID kit in my '15 XLT...lights keep turning off on me

That's discouraging. Lol. I have to get it right the first time because I can't have no headlights during the week and I'll only have time to do it on the weekend. Haven't seen any install DIYs. I'll try to do one when I do it but for now I have a ford diagram at least that shows gaining access through the fender wells.

Do our 2015s use a 55W halogen system? The HIDs I'm looking at (http://www.xenondepot.com/H11-HID-Ki...D-p/xt-h11.htm) are 35W. Do I still need a relay harness?
I can't tell if the kit in the link I provided comes with a relay harness or not.

As far as the initial issues I had - the HIDs worked fine when the truck wasn't running, which is why I completed the install thinking it would work. The HIDs would just turn off on me at random intervals while driving, so I removed them the next day and I ordered the relay harness. Once I installed the relay harness, the HIDs have been working great! The only thing I did other than that is to go into the truck menu and turn off the DRLs so I can leave my light switch on auto.

I ordered a Kensun kit. May return them and try to find a simpler plug and play set up but I spoke to them and they said I'd need this type of harness. Amazon.com: Kensun HID Conversion Kit Single Beam Relay Wiring Harness with Anti-Flicker 50W Load Resistor - H11: Automotive The difference being its a relay with "resistors" opposed to a standard relay harness. I'm still learning all this but maybe you can see if this relay will fit your kit or if your kit manufacturer makes one like this. Not sure it helps but if it helps you out I figured it was worth mentioning.

My relay comes tomorrow. Gonna do the install next weekend and I'll take install pics and stuff. It's so weird to me that some people here install and get everything working with no issues and others have problem after problem. Hope I get lucky. Lol.

Any action caperj? Moment of truth comes this Sunday for me. I'm goin to call Kensun in the morning before I get started to ask about one of the resistors. There's one separate from the relay that only has a male end. I'm guessing it plugs into the far end male plug that normally gets plugged into nothing (normally from the car to the stock bulb). Just want to be sure though. Since there's several connections and potential polarity issues it could take a while troubleshooting so I'd like to at least have all the wiring connected correctly. The diagram they sent me could be better.
