Default Transmission question

Lesse pulled well over the weight for the tow package. Ford replaced transmission at about 50K miles.
My last vehicle was 1998 J Cherokee, forums said change only half the transmission fluid. Need particles to keep slipping to a minimum and get extended life. Worked!!! had 275K then wrecked.
Question ❓ suspect no, but should I do same on this 2015 6speed.

Your post seems a bit garbled, so I'm not completely sure what you're asking. But if you do a pan drop and filter change, you'll replace 7-8 quarts, which is a little over half of the old fluid. For a first change on a high mileage truck, many people will drain and fill twice with a little bit of driving in between, or they'll do a pan drop/filter, drive for a while, and then do a suck and fill which replaces about 5 quarts. But it's not clear to me how many miles you have on the current transmission. That, plus how much you believe in Ford's recommended 150k mile replacement interval, will determine whether you need to replace the fluid at this time, and how much of the old fluid you need to get out.
