Transmission Issues
Hello All,
2016 Ford F150 EcoBoost 2.7L 4X4, approximately 123,000 miles.
Issue: During acceleration while truck is still warming up, intermittently getting significant jerks from the transmission between 30-50mph. Also feels like RPM rate of acceleration drops and then increases (will do this without jerks sometimes when truck is warming up). If I accelerate too hard, truck will shut off and I get a myriad of warning lights to include things like hill descent control failure.
Troubleshooting: Replaced throttle body approximately 10,000 miles ago when issue first started, did not resolve. Within the past 2 months have cleaned all appropriate sensors (air charge, MAF, & MAP). Next logical culprit at this point was the transmission lead frame, so took into shop and they confirmed lead frame was the issue based on diagnosis codes (do not have the codes they got handy. Lead frame was replaced as well as the transmission fluid due to the nature of the repair. Issue still persists following the repair, except now my reverse gear intermittently experiences "slack" where when trying to reverse RPMs will increase and the truck won't move, followed by it suddenly jerking backwards and then working normally. After still experiencing these issues I cleared the transmission adaptive learning tables in FORscan to confirm that was not the issue, still no change even after a decent distance driven.
Looking for feedback on what the group thinks the next step would be in terms of diagnosis, possibly a faulty MAP/MAF sensor? To me still wouldn't explain the reverse issue I'm now having following the lead frame replacement.
Thanks in advance.
