Default Transmission Issues?

Recently drove another 2015 5.0 Crew Cab 4x4 with 3.31 gears same as mine. I thought the below was normal but the truck I drove didn't do this:

1-2 up shift seems sloppy, the 2-3 and above is more firm.

Down shift:
When letting off the gas and coasting there seems to be some engine braking which is normal but when the truck slows to about 15 miles per hour the engine braking stops, if you don't make a complete stop the truck seems to lung forward around 5 mph which is linked to the next issue.

Sometimes when you make a complete stop and when you let off the brake a little you can feel a thud, almost like the trans is down shifting while inching forward at a stop.

It also feels like excessive pressure is needed on the brake pedal to hold the truck at a stop.

The truck I rented seemed a bit more peppy than mine as well. It could be that I have 20" wheels and more weight with a bed rug and folding cover on the bed?

I haven't made an appointment with the deal yet, I'd like to see what some of you think first.

I have a '15 2wd, and I also feel like my 1-2 shift is "sloppy". A better way for me to describe would be that 1st gear seems too low. If I use the manual shift, it feels more natural to start in 2nd gear. I kinda wish I could disable 1st gear whenever I'm not towing.

Common in the Chevys as well. It's to give a "Cadillac" feel when you are driving normal. A lot of custom tuners will form up the 1-2 shift. New to Fords so don't know if any exist that do it like Black Bear Performance does for GM tuning.

"Soccer Mom" calibrations....

Yep - all of the reputable Custom tuning shops fix this.

Along with aboot a hundy er three other things

Remember: Iterative Custom Tuning = YOU select Ed Zachary how you want the trans to feel and shift (within limits).

Has the TSB for the clunky 5-4 down shift been done? This seems to also improve overall transmission operation, it took mine from hating it to loving it.

What's the TSB? I haven't had any TSB's done that I'm aware of. It was built in August and sold in November. The transmission just feels sloppy all together. It seems when you come to a stop at about 1mph or less it's hanging on the 1st too long and then it lunges forward once it goes into first. However the dash say's its in first already. It's not a smooth down shift by any means, it's jerky right before the complete stop. I hate to take it to the dealer hacks. But it's annoying to me.

It's in here -along with all the othere: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/2015-...isting-316605/

Go get the reflash. If you ever plan on tuning it, that should be done prior anyway.

Stickies can be useful -
