Transmission Issue
Coming into work this morning noticed my truck was not going into 6th gear and when I came to a stop it only down shifted to 3rd or 4th (can't remember witch). I have 140,000 miles on the truck and is not throwing any check engine lights. Any ideas?

I did not think to try manual mode. I did try overdrive off and sport mode and it did not change rpm's like it normally would.
I unhooked the battery for 30 minutes and then just drove it for 20 minutes on lunch and it shifted as it should. Don't know if I just masked the problem for a little while or not, but it is fine now.

Ford can't get a head unit to operate correctly, I wouldn't trust them giving a consumer the ability to reboot a BCM/PCM via push of a button.
Otw home after about 15 minutes of driving it dropped back into 5th again and would not up shift back. I shifted into manual and it would not go into 6th then either. The lights for tow and sport mode worked, but I could not tell any difference. When I came to a stop (still not going into 1st or 2nd), I put it into park and then back to drive it goes straight to 4th for a split second and then down to 3rd. Turning the truck off temporarily fixes all issues for 15-20 miles (I don't have to unhook battery).
