Default Trans slipping when cold

I have a 2019 5.0 with the 10speed transmission . Lately it seems to be slipping while shifting when the engine is cold . Seems to shift normal after the truck warms up. Seems like the torque converter is slipping for about 2 seconds and then goes into gear pretty hard. Any ideas? Thx

If the fluid level and condition is good, the first thing I would do is have someone look at the CDF drum. The 10R80 had a ton of problems until they updated the drum in 2023.
With the old drum it allows a bushing to push out of place and then lose fluid pressure basically starving the transmission of fluid. Fluid problems on transmissions never end well.

First make sure it's at the proper level and that it's good and clean. If that's good, get the transmission looked at for the CDF drum issue. The sooner the better on getting it looked at.

Agree with 6gentex above, check your fluid level first. How many miles on the fluid and has it ever been changed? Try remote starting if you have it and let it run for a couple of minutes or so before driving away. Good luck.

It has 85,000 on the original fluid. Hasn’t been changed.

Can the dealer check the fluid level with software? Or does it have to be done manually? Thx
