Default trailer towing mirrors

Wanting to change out the stock mirrors on my 2015 XLT XTR.for the pullout towing ones.
Problem is I don't know if it has an 8 or 22pin connector.
Dealer says they have to remove door panels etc. to find out.
Anyone have help with this. Thanks in advance.
Mirrors are power glass, directional lights, defrost.

Looks like to me you don't even have to remove the door panel. Just pop the cover off and check the plug for yourself.

Poor poster correct -- all you need to do is pop off triangle cover and plug is behind it.

I just today replaced a mirror on my 1015. You can pop the black plastic bracket off. I used putty knife. It takes about 30 seconds and you can snap it back on in 10 seconds. In about 1 minute you should be done.

You can grab it in the upper corner and just yank the cover off. If you have 8 pin connectors you could replace the door harness or you can get a 22 pin adapter.

I ended up replacing my door harnesses so that I could add the spotlights and have the running lights working.
