Default trailer plug pin out

I need some info on the 12 volt power at the 7 pin plug.
The fuse is good But I still do not have power at the plug for the 12V pin.

Many posts about that on the F150 but the search function is crappy so you'd never find them. here's how to get 12V
Truck engine on,
If push button start leave the FOB in the truck,
push the brake pedal while the trailer is connected so the truck "sees" a trailer attached and acknowledges it on the display
have all doors fully closed
You will now have 12V at the 7 pin skip a step and nothing.
Apparently, the Ford engineers when kids could rub their stomachs and pat their heads.

So it will not have power to the plug if the truck is not running and the trailer is hooked up?
