Trailer plug

I have a 2017 xlt. I’m using the 4 pin trailer plug for tailgate lights. Is there a way to let the truck know I don’t have a trailer attached??

No. You cannot connect the lights to your trailer plug. Posted many times.

Unhook the trailer plug.
