I will be renting/purchasing a travel trailer for use this summer, but I don't have the OEM trailer brake controller in the dash. I DO have the basic trailer tow package (Receiver and 4/7 pin connectors). Is the harness there behind the little slot that's in place of the TBC or is this something that needs to be dealer installed? From the looks of the units I've found on eBay, it seems like only the actual TBC is included with no harness and it simply plugs in. Also, would this be something I would have to be activated by the dealer, or is it actually PnP? Thank you!
