Trailer brake controller enable
I plan on adding a Ford trailer brake controller in the future, can I make the required changes in Forscan prior to having the controller installed?

Yes. I recall there are 3 separate places / things you need to enable. It’s been a few years since I did the one on my old ‘17.
Just make sure you buy the ITBC from an actual ford dealer and not from amazon. There are more knock offs out there than real units and you will have issues and faults with the knock off.
Also, installing the controller yourself is easy. Probably easier than using forscan to enable it.
I would highly recommend you instal yourself especially if you’re going to be the one programming it. Do it all at once.
