Trailer backup camera via sync 3
I've got a '16 xlt fully loaded with max trailer tow package and tbc, nav... it was the dealerships show truck before i got it, so it already has a backup camera on the tailgate. I recently purchased a 12' enclosed trailer for work. I also bought a wifi camera off amazon, to mount on the back of the trailer for when i'm backing into tight spaces, long story short it flat out sucks. I found out that the super dutys have the option of adding a trailer camera and have the input show up on the sync3 screen, here is a link to the video of it.
Is there any reason we couldnt have this enabled in our trucks and if so what kind of parts/wiring would be involved.
I've searched the forums and some other guys have asked similar questions, but never the answer i'm looking for or they've had somewhat different scenarios.
Also am i the only one that thinks there should be an option from the factory that basically has a wireless camera with a built-in charging dock inside the glove box that you could just clip onto your trailer, just like the pro trailer backup stickers they could just include some brackets that you could screw to your trailer and then the camera would just clip onto it.

I found This kit. for the f150. It actually plugs into your factory harness when using it so it shows up on your sync screen. You select the cable length you need and they have an option for a heated camera.
Priced one for a 2016 with a 32 ft. Cable is $249
heated camera is $30 extra.
You do have to disconnect your camera at rear bumper to plug this in. Easy.
I do not have one or seen one used. Just found the site.
EDIT: Just saw its not compatible with 360 camera system. Dont know if they have a version that is.
