Your freedom of choice is fine so long as you can handle your debt. Not speaking about you personally but many people can't and saddle society with their debt. I'm not going to go into a diatribe about this. I just question the "live free or die" mentality. Cause 'Merica!

Yeah nothing is interrelated at all. A bunch of overextended people really ****ed up the economy in 2008. Yeah I know predatory lending blah blah blah. Uh...our tax dollars went to bail out a bunch of banks and a couple automakers if I remember correctly. But hey money is free. So yeah one example doesn't mean squat but the general attitude sucks. Not popular on an F150 forum for sure, but sometimes the truth ain't popular.

If you can afford it. I had to wait a long time to get what I wanted, Navy didn't pay enough to have a nice truck
Only if you are buying what you can't afford.
The housing crash was not predatory lending. It was allowing 100% financing, which is stupid. Now if you cant afford your house you walk, where when it was 20% down you would not walk. It was also the 100% mortgage then barrow another 20K against the house to furnish it.
A lot of the problem is people want everything right away. They do not make sound financial decisions.

I hope you like it because that sounds like such a bad deal all around! Your paying more then 200 a month more for a few bells and whistles. Your gonna pay 76,000 dollars for a depreciating asset.... On second thought I really really hope you like it.

I financed 84 months at 0.9% then made it bi-weekly payments. Cuts out all interest on the loan and shortens it to approximately 68 months. Free money

I have a 2016 XLT fully loaded and often consider (should I say Day dream) about trading in for a lariat, or an XLT 250.
Reading your numbers makes me damn glad I haven't. The amount of money your spending would fund both my kids college 529s for years and by the time they are ready for school, probably cover a years tuition.
Daddy gets cooled seats < tuition.
Good luck. We are all in different situations.
