I was wondering if this might be the problem.
Until you got into it, there was no normal hint.
I've had experience with similar issues but on a stock unaltered program.
Just playing around turning the Ignition on and off too quickly generated lost communication codes because of interruptions during system boot up.
No code or indications on the screen but they were set when looking at the system with Forscan and the Dash in Enginering Mode showed some were set as the reason for taking a look.
The Modules involved were tested and found ATP then codes cleared both in Forscan and in the dash program DTC data point.
