if you have an order number on your invoice or spec sheet, send it to Fordservice here on the forum. she can get one for you. the dealer is probably just being lazy unless its a retail order and just not a priority

Interesting how the Canada-bound 5.0 4x4 is rated 18/25 mpg while in the US it's supposed to be 15/21 mpg. What accounts for the difference? Different gas?

The differential between gallons is a pet peeve of mine. The manufacturers jump on the favourable Canadian MPG when advertising in Canada but the consumers don't necessarily realize that when comparison shopping. When having discussions people will ask how many MPG's it gets but I've just converted to litres per 100km to eliminate that confusion but invariably opens up the next can of worms not knowing what benchmark that represents.

MPG makes sense in the US because the distance is measured in Miles and fuel is sold in US Gallons. Boom easy. In Canada fuel is sold in litres and we measure distance in kilometres. Using MPG is always a bunch of converting and always brings up the variable of the different gallons.

A while back, someone had the theory that some of the first trucks built would be buried at the back of the lot and not ship right away. Looking at the 16 that my dealer has coming, there might be something to that. Some of the low VINs are awaiting shipment, but they have a KR, VIN 24024, that was ordered on 11/5, built on 11/26, and is already in transit.

I think that this is true. At least it is what it seems to be in my case. My truck was made early and is now sitting.

You could be right, but it likely has more to do with logistics and cost than anything else. At least with this initial shipment, it's more likely they'll wait until they have a dealer's allocation complete before they ship. My dealer is getting a small allocation of 5 (as are most dealers except large volume), so they probably won't ship 2 on a box car, then 1 more a week later, then 2 more a week after that. I have no idea about rail logistics, but I'd bet shipping piecemeal like that is more expensive. I know it's way more costly to ship that way over the road.

I feel ya though, mine was built a few days after yours and it hasn't shipped yet. According to Cotus, there's still one more on my dealers allocation that's in production, so I bet mine ships when all are done.

Can't speak to Countrysquire's example other than maybe they had enough to make worthwhile to ship.

Not sure if you guys missed my previous post, but here it is again.

I was looking at my Dealers website under new inventory 2015 F150 and I made an interesting observation.

The dealer ordered five vehicles with one of them being my order.
Order #1 VIN 1FTEW1EGXFFA01906 In Production 10/27/14
Order #2 VIN 1FTEW1EG9FFA04618 In Production 11/06/14
Order #3 VIN 1FTEW1EGOFFA08475 In Production 11/06/14
Order #4 VIN 1FTEW1CFGFFA08474 In Production 11/20/14
Order #5 VIN 1FTEW1CG9FFA140049 In Production 11/25/14 My truck.

All of the above trucks including my truck are awaiting the (In Transit) status even though the first truck was built almost a month ago with a 1906 VIN. It seems that once all of the trucks ordered from the Dealer are built and ready to go then they are shipped.

By the way the COTUS site is not working right now. Not sure what the deal is.
