I never thought I would care, but this is my 4th F150, first one that I've ordered and it sounds like an enormous board game . I have no idea how many are assembled in 1 calendar day, the number I seem to remember is 1200.No idea if this is both plants. Does anyone following this thread know ,lets say just Kansas plant. (Since I have a pile of parts somewhere on the shelf there) ... By all accounts they seem to temporarily lose track of a few. That has got to be painful.. Sales told me 8 to 12 weeks, so perhaps this would cover the rare stray.
My first vehicle was a 1970 f 100 back when I was 14. I have always had a ford truck as my daily driver. I had 2 rangers for a few years, but always a ford truck. this is the first one I have ordered as well. I have already bought a bunch of stuff. that is ready to go on.
:
. I have spoken with the tire shop who is going to buy my stock tires and set me up with a set of general at3's because of the gravel road I have to drive on to get to my house. I have memorized the VIN number because I have entered it so many times in COTUS, and I have read the owners manual twice. if this truck takes much longer to get here i am going to be broke or nuts, possibly both lol. patience has never been one of my virtues.
The new truck will be the 5th Ford vehicle that I've owned. I've had a 2000 Ranger, a 2011 Escape, a 2014 F150 XLT 300A, a 2016 F150 XLT 302a, and the new truck will be a 2018 Lariat 502a.

Excellent idea, "read the manual" ! I'm sure I can learn something, plus this will make the first few miles easier. Is it available on a Ford site ? I am running out the door to run errands,(in a Mazda) but leafing through a cyber manual in the next couple days would be fun..
I opened a chat window with Ford Performance (regular Ford Chat could only see COTUS). They said it went onto a rail car on the 16th and ETA to the stealership is today, so I'm going to go do a drive-by!

How do I find the chat for that. Is it a different site?
Well, Today happened to be the day. After a long impatient wait, finally to my surprise saw this sight.....
So after a quick email to my sales guy, it is real, and does exist. Picking it up Monday/Tuesday next week....
