I ordered a new truck over 6 weeks ago and build date was this past Wednesday, Nov 14th. My dealer is turning out to be a sales guy in the sense that since he made the sale, he's not concerned about keeping me updated on the delivery date. Basically saying, "It typically takes 6-8 weeks, so it will get here when it gets here. It should be here by end of Dec." End of Dec would be over 12 weeks. Is there anyway that I can track this thing myself?

 

Yes. You need either the VIN or the order number, and then you can track in COTUS. If you get the rail car number (dealer's system gives it), then you can track the movement of the railcar (simple Google search will tell you how to track each railroad.

Ford has a new tracking site. I got my vin the other day and put it in the site and it tells me how many days to delivery and shows me my window sticker.
