I constantly read about resetting the TPS by KOEO and slowly pressing the gas pedal and quickly snapping it closed.

I am wondering if its real- or more importantly, is it located in any true nomenclature. Not one youtube channel to another but true Ford procedures. Not here to offend anyone just curious if its real.

TPS as in Throttle Position Sensor not TPMS for the tires. I specifically mentioned the gas pedal lol

 

This is documented in my Ford OBD1 reader manual, so it's been a real procedure. I do not know if it was to the OBD2 system, but it was the recommended procedure when I installed the BBK throttle body. Immediately after performing the procedure, the throttle body did a few sweeps. It has performed flawlessly for two years.
