One set from ebay was great. The other set were all defective and even marked as such (sharpie 'X') and yet were still sold as functional.
Or just buy the real thing https://www.tpms.com/TPMS-Sensors-by-Make-s/1.htm

I'm trying my luck with these. It's about $80 total with shipping, import fees, etc. I figure if the seller has sold 2000+ of them with 99% positive feedback, it's not the biggest risk.

Rock auto has a good selection. They have Ford motorcraft sensors for $65cdn each

I'll probably end up going with some of the Ebay four-packs with the hope I don't get any duds.
If Princes Auto is close to you, you could always use the tool and then return it. However im sure your tire shop can as well program them... I bought a set from Ebay, and turned out to be duds... so i disabled my TPMS to avoid the hassle
