I put on my winter rims (do not have sensors) and it took about a week for the truck to give me an error. At that point it was just one wheel showing 0. It took another couple of weeks for all 4 wheels to show 0. I would check your wheels to ensure they have the sensors. Just because they show PSI doesn't mean they are there.

It's showing 0? My truck has one tire that shows -- when on the highway after a hour and then reads correct pressure for awhile then back to -- then back to correct pressure. Switched tire from RF to RR and problem followed tire.

You are correct. I should have said -- instead of 0. The point is with no sensors In Any wheel it took a few weeks for the truck to show no Psi on all 4. For the first week with no sensors it still showed PSI on all 4. Had the same thing happen on my 2010 when I put the winters on every year. When I put the oem wheels back on in spring the truck showed the correct PSI within a couple of miles. Strange.......

I agree that yours taking a week with no senders and mine with sender turning on and off on highway after a hour of driving makes no sense.

If you haven't learned them to your vehicle they are not going to work. If you keep your original tires near the vehicle when it is parked (like mine are in the garage where I park) then if you don't have working sensors on the wheels on your truck it will pick up the ones you are storing.

It won't error out saying there are no sensors until you drive it for a while...sometimes a long time.

If you don't have to tool for learning them to your vehicle you have to go to a tire shop.

That is for the reset procedure. Believe that is different than the train/learn procedure. Reset would likely be used when you rotate your tires with sensors that have already been learned (educated guess).

To add: confirmed that this is the case with the owners manual: Note:You need to perform the tire pressure
monitoring system reset procedure after
each tire rotation on vehicles that require
different recommended tire pressures in the
front tires as compared to the rear tires.

Sounds like you got a beef with whoever you bought them from if they were supposed to be equipped with them?
