Are the stock mirrors on the XLT good enough for towing or is it necessary to upgrade to the towing mirror option? I've searched through hundreds of trucks in my state and neighboring states and it seems that no dealers ordered the towing mirror option on the XLT.

 

I ordered mine with the tow mirrors. Big difference from stock mirrors. And I have not seen one truck on my dealers lot with the tow mirrors.

 

I tested a 5L and a 3.5 and the 3.5 had the tow mirrors, i thought the regular mirrors were great on the other truck.

i bet they are enough for 90% of the buyers but it is great to have them when towing a bigger trailer.
