Default Towing Capacity Question

We are looking to buy a camper and I know my truck can tow up to 7600 pounds. The camper I am looking at it is 5200 pounds base weight so probably 6000 gross after loaded up. Any concerns towing that much with my 2019 screw 2.7?

Keep an eye on your payload as that will be the limiting factor. Tongue weight will eat into that quick. May need to move cargo from truck to camper. Also need a weight distribution hitch over 5k.

You'll have a max frontal area consideration of 55 sqft From the towing guide:

The yellow sticker in your door frame that lists cargo carrying capacity is a key factor. All people and stuff in the truck and trailer tongue weight should not exceed that. Full Gas is accounted for in that spec. If you read other tow related threads here, you'll see that's what is the most common problem for towing. Your GVWR on the white sticker minus the amount on the yellow sticker should be what your truck weighed when it left the factory if it had a full tank of gas. Anything extra you or the dealer adds comes out of that cargo capacity.

I think you're underestimating gross weight.

If that is the number off the trailer "as built" listed it's calculated and usually a little light and usually doesn't include the propane tanks and batteries.
Even worse if it's the advertised weight.

Also the hitch weight is usually before options, propane tanks and batteries. I've seen a 495 Lb listed weight that went almost 900 lb (without cargo or water).

The usual advice here is go by the GVWR of the trailer and assume 13% Tongue Weight + 100 lb for WDH.

If Trailer GVWR is under the Tow Rating...
Your Truck will be under GVWR with accessories + you + passengers + 13% of trailer GVWR and WDH.
...and the whole mess comes in under GCWR you are good to go.

Caveat Emptor...

PS A lot of people have issues with the low GVWR on the 2.7EB Trucks (2.7 Payload Package excepted).

I agree, you'll be close to 6500 #s. and that is too much for that truck. You need a 3.5 ecoboost maxtow, or a smaller camper.

Follow the math Gene discussed and that will be that.
There are threads I've read where people are towing well with the 2.7EB at 6k# with just the 53B hitch receiver defined elsewhere as Medium Duty Tow Package. There are spots where that truck is rated to 7700# towing but elsewhere noted limited to 5000 without the Heavy Duty Tow Package, 53A option Towing Package on your sticker. Remember, the tow limit eats into your truck cargo capacity, not just tongue weight. Max Tow rates assume a near empty truck.

An assumption on my part, but a 2019 2.7L Screw 145" wheel base, 4WD has a maximum loaded trailer weight of 7600 lbs. from the 2019 Towing Guide with GCWR 12900 lbs. Of course, payload will most likely be the limiting factor.
