Hello,
New to the forum, and yes I did search intensively before posting. So I own a 2016 F150 XLT 3.5 ECO 4x4 crew. I left my little light bar on overnight and part of the next day and woke up to a very dead battery. So i jumped the vehicle and took it for a long drive with all accessories off. I noticed the 8¨ touchscreen was not responding to touch at all. The screen works, just can´t touch it. I therefore can´t do a master reset. I´ve tried the soft reboot via power/track up, I´ve tried installing an update but it gives me the MEM_ERR03 error. I¨ve tried to leave the battery disconnected for over an hour, I´ve checked the fuses and connections as well. My warranty is up as I´m at 54k miles. I don´t want to pay the dealership $100+ for them to tell me it´s broken. Anyone have any other tips or advice. Not sure why a dead battery would cause that to stop working. I´m beyond frustrated... Update: Used a write up on here to get the Sync 3 3.0 to install. Once the two step install was complete and I restarted the truck, everything is working well. The new 3.0 is a nice upgrade from 2.2/2.3 as well. Saved a trip to the dealership none the less.

 

 

Glad you figured it out. Off topic now, what is the difference 2.2 and 3.0? I'm still on 2.0 or 2.2 I believe.

Ok I know this is an old thread but how did you update sync without the use of the touchscreen? I have the same issue where the touchscreen is unresponsive and I would like to try this method to see if it works. Can you link the write up, I tried searching.
