Default Too MUCH BLACK, Chrome Grill ?

This is my new 2017 XL 5.0 FX4 and Black was my absolute last choice, wanted silver. But I had some requirements 5.0 4x4 SC Tow Package and Integrated trailer brake and under 34k. This was the only one I could find in my price range and it had a bedliner and FX4 so I bit the bullet and took the black. But dang that is too much Black.
Im thinking a chrome 3 bar grill, even with the black bumper I wonder how that will look. Any suggestions appreciated.

I probably wouldn't go chrome for the grill when everything else is blacked out. I totally agree that a new grill would make the front end look a lot better. There are a few different options out there some of which might be the following:

1.) Look for a Raptor style grill (with or without letters or middle bar) in matte black or the grey. Barricade comes in the grey and Paramount will have both. However the stylings are a little different.
2.) See if you like another OEM style grill. Maybe paint it with a different accent color (magnetic comes to mind). If you are daring you could even make the middle of the bumper and part of the tailgate to match. However, this gets pricey unless you can do your own paint.
3.) Buy some kind of billet grill. They can come in chrome, black, or even both.

I am kind of biased though. I really hate chrome.

Maybe add the raptor style leds to your grille in white? I hate chrome, too. I think your truck looks good the way it is. Well, actually it needs black wheels

Consider the stainless looking grill from a Platinum?

I think if you had the chrome package (chrome front/rear bumper) a chrome grille would look great. But with the painted to match bumpers I wouldn't do it, especially if it'd be the only chrome on the truck. I think the magnetic 3 bar (lariat) grille would look good.

I'm like you, black would be my last choice. I like that you made the mechanicals a priority. But that's a nice truck the way it is. I'd take care of the tire and wheel choice first, then any performance upgrades, and then contemplate going chrome.

But just remember, once you go chrome....................
